The suspicious science fair

In science class at school, Jack had to come up with an experiment to work out in real life for the Science Fair.

When the day came, Jack set up his power and particle collider next to a well-presented and neat board. It wrote:

Experiment Proposal: Investigating Exotic Particle Production in High-Energy Proton-Proton Collisions

Abstract:

This experiment proposes to investigate the production of exotic particles via high-energy proton-proton collisions in a particle collider, specifically designed to explore phenomena beyond the Standard Model of particle physics. By accelerating protons to energies approaching several tera-electronvolts (TeV) and colliding them, we aim to detect signatures of supersymmetric particles, dark matter candidates, or previously unobserved composite states of quarks and gluons. Our focus will be on detecting heavy, unstable particles that rapidly decay into known particles, providing indirect evidence of new physics.

Ernie was looking at his enviously.

Jack look over and said: “Jealous?”

“Nah,” Ernie said. “I have one that’s way better.”

When the Judges came to Ernie’s table, he showed his proudly.

Experiment Proposal: Investigating the Sugar Content of Various Fruits

Introuction:

In this expriment, we aim to determine the sugar content of different fruits. This is importnt becuz people need to know how much sugar they are eating, especially in a world where sugar is bad, or too much of it is, I think. Anyway, we will use some fruits, like apples, lemons, strawberries, and uhh… oranges? And check how much sugar is in them.

Conclusion:

There is mor suga in strawberries than lemons.

Acknowledg… acknawledgem… Thank Yous:

  • Thanks to the grocery store for having the fruits.
  • Shout out to Johnny’s Kitchen Supplies for lending us that blender (we didn’t actually ask, but hopefully it’s okay).

The Judges tried to look interested as Ernie presented them with a mouldy apple.

When they got to Jack’s table, they gasped and hastily presented him with the first place prize.

Ernie piped up: “Do we still get a participation award for carrying out these experiments?”

Jack replied. “Not you, you faked the experiment and tried to cover it up. But you made one mistake!”

WHAT WAS IT?
