The mysterious movie

Jack stood in his garage, mounting his phone onto a tripod. “Action!”

As he filmed his movie, he thought about the events that led to this.

Steven walked into his agency. 

“I need help with my movie.” He held up a gun. 

“It can have one shooting in it.”

Steven was part of the Filmmaking club at school, and he wanted Jack’s help.

It was time for the screening, and the story started. 

Death in the Desert

A sheriff walks down a beaten path, fingering his gun in his holster.

He knows where the robber’s hideout is. 

As he walks, he hears a crack. 

Five days later

The sheriff’s body is found with a hole in his forehead.

The police gather the suspects.

There are four suspects. 

Suspect #1 was about 1 kilometre from the body, but his pistol could fire 0.5 miles.

Suspect #2 was likely drunk at the time but had a very accurate rifle.

Suspect #3 was about 500 metres from the body but had a bent pistol

Suspect #4 was about 1.5 miles away from the body and was ruled out.

After observation, the police arrested who and why?
